Shopping...doing housework...dashing through an airport...walking for exercise...keeping up with the kids and grandkids...we're on our feet constantly. And with every step - about 8000 a day or more than two and a half million in a year - our bodies absorb the pounding impact of walking. Our feet are the body's foundation, but we generally don't give them -- or the relationship between proper foot function and lower body health -- much thought...until they give us problems.
